YETT is governed by a 7 member board of trustees that provides oversight to the operations of YETT and is also directly responsible for supervising the Director who is appointed by the board and heads the secretariat through delegated authority. YETT Board of Trustees plays an active role in the financial oversight of the organization.

The secretariat is responsible for day-to-day operations of YETT. The Director supervises all staff and the implementation of YETT programmes and board recommendations. The organization is comprised mostly of two distinctive departments- Leadership and Advocacy (Programmes) and Finance and Administration which are headed by two managers.

Rosewita Katsande

Rosewita Katsande is the Executive Director of the Youth Empowerment Transformation Trust (YETT), which is at the forefront of championing youth participation in national discourse and broader development processes in Zimbabwe. Rosewita has more than 10 years’ experience working on youth development in Zimbabwe. She has gained vast expertise in project management, advocacy, strategic planning, organisational development, capacity building and mobilisation, fundraising and proposal development,  building donor liaison, report writing, monitoring and evaluation and workshop facilitation and coordination. Rosewita has proven leadership skills involving, managing, developing and motivating teams. Rosewita has demonstrable track record of activism and advocacy on Zimbabwe at national, regional and international levels. She is a fellow of the Leading in Public Life:Emerging African Leaders Program of the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance, University of Cape Town




Executive Director

Kudzai Mberi 

Kudzai Mberi has an art of perfection and accuracy with an ability to have an airplane view on strategic matters which greatly assists the organization in making accurate forecasts and plans needed in budgeting. Resultantly, this has kept YETT’s finance intact. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Accounting Science (B Compt) as well as Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Regional & Urban Planning (Bsc HRUP) majoring in Project Planning & Management. In addition, he has also completed three (3) year Articles of Clerkship Training with a reputable Audit firm

Finance and Administration Manager

Taziwa Machiwana

‘Taz’ is a development practitioner with over 9 years’ experience in Democracy and Governance, Organisational Development and Capacity Building and Grants Management within the youth sector in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Norway. He brings policy and thought leadership in organisational development and capacity building, programme strategy, planning, implementation and oversight.  He holds an Honours Degree (Development Studies) from Midlands State University and a Masters in Public Policy and Governance with Africa University.

Lynnet Chitewere Mutsena
Lynnet Chitewere Mutsena has a 13 year experience in Accounting field, she holds SAAA (Southern Africa Association of Accountancy) Diploma in Accounting. She is currently studying ACCA Level 1 & 2 and Bachelor of Accountancy Honours with Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) and her aspiration is to become a fully qualified Accountant.

Sharon is a highly-motivated Administrator, who has a proven track record of providing administration services. She is a holder of Higher National Diploma, Project Management and Monitoring and Evaluation certificate. A great team player who is willing to learn new things every day, Sharon is a keen and multi-talented personnel with a career spanning over 18 years.

Gracious Dzapasi

Gracious is a self- driven and hardworking young professional with exceptional interpersonal skills. She has displayed good coordination, networking and interaction skills. Having worked with Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights as a Graduate Trainee, she developed a passion in promoting socio-economic and cultural human rights targeting vulnerable and marginalised population group, including youth and women. She holds a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies and minor in Development Studies and has three years working experience in the youth developing programmes.

Charles Chisale 

Charles is a great team player with 11 years’ experience in the NGO sector. He is an effective professional who has the knowledge of building a comprehensive knowledge base that supports institutional activities. He is also a highly committed individual who is goal driven, accurate and motivated by the desire to produce good quality work. A holder of a National Diploma in Library and Information Management and currently studying Project Monitoring and Evaluation with the University of Zimbabwe.

Darlington Muyambwa
Darlington is the YETT's Youth Advisor under the Civic Engagement for Accountability and Democracy in Zimbabwe (CEADZ). He is a communications, democracy, rights and governance expert with over 8 years’ experience in the non-profit sectors of youth, health, natural resources governance, transparency and accountability. He has experience in developing and managing projects, campaigns, advocacy and communication products. He is a holder of a Masters- degree in Peace and Governance and a trained communicator with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Media and Society Studies
Youth Advisor
Talent Madungwe
Talent is a youth and community development practitioner who has nine years of experience in youth skills development through civic engagement participation and capacity building in the non-profit sector. She has directed youth and women programs in business acceleration, job readiness training, livelihoods education and financial inclusion. Talent has proven expertise in corporate relations and representing organisations at local, regional and international platforms. She is a certified life skills trainer and project management specialist. Her exceptional communication skills and organisational abilities are drawn from years of experience engaging and dealing with various stakeholders. Talent earned a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Midlands State University and Bachelor of Arts (Human and Social Studies) degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of South Africa. She also holds certificates in community development, humanitarian project management, monitoring and evaluation from the University of Zimbabwe.
Programme Manager
Desmond Muchadei Sharukai
‘Dez’ holds a BA Honours in History and Development Studies (Midlands State University) and has attended various leadership trainings in and outside Zimbabwe. He is an aspiring Historian and practising development practitioner with broad communication skills. He has previously worked in Civil Society, the retail sector and credit control sector. He has a huge appreciation of youth issues and has worked passionately with youth organisation throughout Zimbabwe for over 4 years. Desmond is also an established and acclaimed grassroots mobilizer and campaign consultant whose work extends across the Zimbabwean business and political divide.
Democracy and Governance Officer

Ransom Tafadzwa Macheka

Tafadzwa has worked in Child Protection, Education and Youth Development programs with Inter Country People’s Aid and SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe. He has 6 years’ experience in the NGO sector. He holds a Masters degree in Peace and Governance from Africa University and is currently enrolled for Doctoral studies with the University of Kwazulu Natal with a focus on Youth Leadership Development. He brings to YETT advocacy and research skills that contribute to evidence based advocacy initiatives.

Progress Princess Sibanda
Progress has a strong media and communications understanding, interest and  is able to collect, package and disseminate information to young people in a youth friendly manner. She is a result-oriented and innovative team player who sets high standards of work and works tenaciously to achieve them through critical and strategic thinking. She is a holder of BSC Honours degree in Media and Society Studies from Midlands State University and an MSU Book Prize winner accompanied by two more awards namely: Best student in the department and Best Undergraduate Student in the department of Media in 2017. She is also an award winning journalist who has been in the media industry for over five years.

Clinton T Chirenje

Clinton Chirenje is in the information and communication line of work He is a graphics designer and a salesperson willing to acquire knowledge about everything that surrounds him. A passionate multi-talented social media strategist, with a career spanning over 4 years starting as an Event Presenter at the age of 16 and manifested to being Sales Representative and Photographer. Currently, Clinton is studying (BSc) Media and Society Studies with Midlands State University. He is a team player, flexible and well versed with the management of modern technology.

Mugove M. Mukanganwa
Munashe is a professional Accountant with a strong Accounting background backed by an Honours Degree in Accounting from the University of Zimbabwe. He has been in the Accounting Industry for more than three years and is an aspiring Chartered Accountant who is soon to complete his Association Of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
